I was looking forward to having a look at Delicious as I am in need of something to help me organise a very long list of "favourites" as well a tool to help me organise a collection of electronic articles by subject. I already have a Yahoo account so it was very easy getting started on Delicious. I created work for myself by not realising that in Delicious tags are separated by spaces not commas. So after making an initial hash(tag) of things I now know about editing and deleting tags as well as how to create bookmarks... I also learnt to test links before saving other people's bookmarks, after finding quite a few that dont work.
I will continue to work on this as a personal tool and collect bookmarks on subjects of interest such as ebooks. I can see that it can be very useful for libraries to collect and publish bookmarks on particular subjects and will have a look at libraries that are doing this.
I'm looking at using Delicious to organise free resources which we currently have listed on the Libary web pages, which is something the Judge and the Casimir Lewy Library have already done.
